Teddy and Donald, convinced by conspiracy theories they’ve encountered online, kidnap Michelle, the

powerful head of a pharmaceutical and biotech company. Teddy is certain she is an alien sent to destroy

Earth. He blames her for his mother’s coma and for the disappearance of bees worldwide. As Michelle

tries to escape, a dangerous cat-and-mouse game unfolds between her and Teddy. A remake of the Korean

cult film Save the Green Planet!, Yorgos Lanthimos’ latest work is a biting reflection on today’s world of

paranoia, disinformation, and crisis.

Yorgos Lanthimos

Yorgos Lanthimos gained international recognition with his second feature Dogtooth, which won the top

prize in Cannes’ Un Certain Regard section and earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign

Language Film. Since then, he has received three more Oscar nominations and numerous awards at

international festivals. In 2023, Scanorama presented his film Poor Things.
